  • Results announced & officer installation at fall conference 2024 (Nov 5-7, 2026)

  • New officers begin January 2026

Nominees for President Elect

Alex Ashley, BPS, RT(R)(T) I am honored to accept the nomination for President-Elect of the Radiation Therapy Association of New York State. Serving as Vice President has given me an even greater appreciation for the work of RTANYS and the dedication of the individuals who volunteer their time to support our profession across New York State.

Throughout my involvement with RTANYS, I have valued the opportunity to connect with radiation therapy professionals and students, support membership growth, and contribute to an organization that provides education, advocacy, and a professional community for our field. I believe RTANYS is strongest when its members feel connected to the organization and recognize the value of being part of a statewide professional community.

As President-Elect, I would continue working to strengthen member engagement, support our educational and professional initiatives, and identify opportunities to expand the reach and visibility of RTANYS. I would also work closely with our Board to build upon the progress already underway while remaining responsive to the evolving needs of radiation therapists and students throughout New York State.

I would be grateful for the opportunity to continue serving RTANYS in this role and to help position the organization for continued growth and success.

Nominees for Vice President

Jason Dursi, MBA, RT(T) As Chair of the RTANYS Marketing Committee, it is my great honor to accept the nominations for Vice President of the Board of Directors for the 2027–2028 term. My involvement with RTANYS has strengthened my commitment to our profession and given me the opportunity to help drive meaningful initiatives that increase member engagement and move our organization forward.

Professionally, I am a current Lead Radiation Therapist at Memorial Sloan Kettering, where I remain committed to advancing my education and clinical expertise while growing as a leader within the profession. Over the last few years, I have built upon that commitment by completing my MBA and earning a certification in MRI, while expanding my leadership experience as Interim Clinical Coordinator for the School of Radiation Therapy at MSKCC and as a professional mentor through the ASRT Student to Leadership Development Program.

As a member of the Board of Directors, I would bring this experience and commitment to supporting the leadership of RTANYS while creating greater opportunities for professional development, leadership, and member involvement.

Danielle McDonagh, DHSc., M.S., RT(T) I am honored to accept the nomination for Vice President of the RTANYS Board of Directors. Throughout my career in radiation therapy, I have remained committed to advancing our profession through education, advocacy, research, mentorship, and professional service.

As a Radiation Therapy Program Director, I work closely with students, educators, clinicians, and professional leaders while supporting the continued development of the next generation of radiation therapists. I have also previously served on the RTANYS Advocacy Committee, promoting initiatives aligned with ASRT priorities and encouraging radiation therapists to become engaged in issues affecting our profession, including support for legislation such as MARCA and the ROCR Act.

My professional service extends nationally through my work on the ASRT Editorial Review Board and Research Grants and Advisory Panel. I was also honored to receive the Radiation Therapist Distinguished Author Award for my contributions to the radiation therapy literature.

If elected Vice President, I would bring this experience in leadership, advocacy, education, and professional service to the Board while working collaboratively with RTANYS leadership and membership to strengthen engagement, support professional development, and ensure radiation therapists continue to have a strong voice throughout New York State.

Rita-Nicole Sagginario, MBA, RT(T) I am honored to announce my candidacy for Vice President of the Radiation Therapy Association of New York State (RTANYS).

I have been a Radiation Therapist since 2018, with experience in inpatient hospital settings, as a Clinical Coordinator, and my current role at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Commack. These experiences have provided me with a broad perspective on our profession and the challenges and opportunities facing Radiation Therapists today.

My involvement with RTANYS began in May 2021 as Membership Committee Chair and I was the recipient of the RTANYS Presidents award in 2024. For the past two years, I have served as Secretary on the RTANYS Board of Directors and overseen the Research and Scholarship Committee. I also served on the ASRT Radiation Therapist Advocacy Region 9 Subcommittee from July 2024 through July 2025.

I hold an MBA with a micro-credential in Hospital Administration and am pursuing dual certification in MRI. As a lifelong learner and advocate, I am passionate about supporting Radiation Therapists’ professional growth through education, resources, networking, and mentorship.

My leadership, clinical, advocacy, and membership experiences have strengthened my commitment to RTANYS. If elected, I will work to enhance member engagement, expand professional development opportunities, strengthen collaboration, and advocate for Radiation Therapists across New York State.

I would be honored to continue serving RTANYS as Vice President.

Nominees for Secretary

Tracy Dolen, M.B.A., R.T. (T), ROCC I am writing to state my formal intent to run for the position of Secretary for the RTANYS board for the upcoming term. With a background in radiation therapy of over 23 years, clinical and managerial, in addition to my M.B.A. in Healthcare Administration, and ROCC certification, I am apassionate individual who cares deeply about patient and employee safety and believes in giving back. Having served in a volunteer capacity with the ASRT in many areasincluding being the NY State Ambassador for Advocacy, as well as serving as a subject matter expert on patient procedures in radiation therapy for the RadiologyInfo.Org website, I have strong communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills that would add value to the position if elected to serve. If elected to the position of Secretary, I commit to: Maintaining detailed and accurate records, Organize all documents for ease of access, Advocate for the profession, while supporting the board with concise, clear communication, Manage all correspondence in a timely manner.
