ARRT
The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is the world’s largest organization offering credentials in medical imaging, interventional procedures, and radiation therapy. The ARRT certifies and registers technologists in a range of disciplines by overseeing and administering education, ethics, and examination requirements.
NYSDOH
In the state of New York, ionizing radiation used for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes must be applied by a professional practitioner that is licensed by, and registered with the New York State Department of Health's Bureau of Environmental Radiation Protection. JRCERT
The Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) is the only agency recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), for the accreditation of traditional and distance delivery educational programs in radiography, radiation therapy, magnetic resonance, and medical dosimetry.
ASRT
The American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) is the premier professional association of people working in medical imaging and radiation therapy. The ASRT’s mission is to advance and elevate the medical imaging and radiation therapy profession and to enhance the quality and safety of patient care. The ASRT provides members educational material, advocacy, support and more.
NYSSRS
The New York State Society of Radiologic Sciences (NYSSRS) promotes the elevation of radiologic science and medical imaging professions. The NYSSRS is a State Affiliate of the ASRT and promotes excellence in education and the highest standards in patient care.
