Radiation Therapy Association of New York State, Inc.
A Message from the President
I am deeply honored and humbled to carry on the mission statement of the Radiation Therapy Association of New York State as its third President. I am proud to have participated in the society from its nascency through this period of expansion and growth. Engagement is at an all time high as evident at our 2024 conference; our best attended yet. Healthcare is evolving at an unprecedented rate due to aftershocks of the pandemic, new reimbursement models, and emerging AI. RTANYS strives to ensure we continue to meet the unique demands we face as New Yorkers and lift each other up as colleagues. One theme I have identified through my time at this organization is how so many of us can pinpoint a particular mentor or attribute so much of their success to the kindness and leadership of others. As President of RTANYS, I am inspired by these examples and hope to further cement this society as New York’s premiere society for development, advocacy, knowledge share, and leadership. I encourage each of you to join me in any capacity you can, and together we can carry on the tradition of mentorship and inspiration to the newest generation of therapists.
Sincerely,
Shaun P. Maroney, MHA, RT(T)
